Terms and Conditions

Your Adoption of a Book in the Melvin Sabshin, M.D., Library and Archives Collection contributes to: 

1. Preservation of the collection, including conservation work on objects in need of repair
2. Digitization of materials to greatly increase accessibility of the collection
3. Expansion of materials and resources on-line
4. Maintenance of the space to provide APA members and others with an exclusive opportunity to view these objects in person
5. Acquiring notable artifacts, documents and rare books

Your Adoption is a tax-deductible contribution to the American Psychiatric Association Foundation. Adoptions are for a period of 5 years. Your Adoption will be recognized in the Foundation Honor Roll and displayed as a name plate with the chosen book in the Sabshin Library.
